New Year, New Updates…

OK, so I will try even harder to update more often. The last part of 2005 was a blur. I had lots going on. Robert was in school taking 3 classes, I enjoyed being in charge of mowin (actually want to do it again soon), Robert’s Dad passed away and we celebrated the Holiday’s.

We helped with Elves and More again this year. We went 2 times to build bikes/wrap gifts and we also got to go help with delivering the bikes. It was a lot of fun and we will participate again next year.

I of course was not caught up with my scrapbook pages when the year ended. That’s ok though. Most (except for Thanksgiving) are developed and ready to go in to my album. The last 2 crops I have been to, I have actually gotten to work on my albums! I have another one tomorrow but it is looking like I might not even unload my stuff becuase there are currently 9 people RSVP’d. I can always get my stuff from my car if needed.

I am taking a beginner Russian language course this month at work. It has been a lot of fun! Things are actually starting to look familiar to me! The class is every day to the last Friday of January.

We went to Austin for a Rose Bowl party at Stephen’s house. It was so awesome being in Austin with the Longhorns won the National Championship! It was well worth taking 1 1/2 days off of work! After the game we went downtown to take pictures of the UT Tower. It was so beautiful! There were people everywhere. People were hanging out of cars, honking and sitting on top of cars with flags. It was very peaceful. We even have pictures of the riot team sitting on a brick wall just watching everyone.

Everyone is doing well here. Bailey is a lot more fun to have around now that he is a little older and listens better. Lily still doesn’t like to be outside without us and Zoe thinks she rules the house. We have pictures of them on our wall as art. They are 5×7’s in black and white around our family Christmas picture. I have to say that it looks very nice. We will be hanging up some other stuff soon.

Well off to bed for now. I didn’t realize it was so late. Hope all is well with you and your family.

Been sooooo long…..

I apologize for taking so long to update. Misty reminded me so kindly that I haven’t posted recently 🙂

A lot has happend in the last month.

Space Shuttle Discovery had a great launch and landing. The next launch was going to be in September but now it looks like March. Who knows, it could be on either Robert’s birthday or mine. That would be awesome!!!!

We have been to several Astros baseball games with great friends.

Our church had their frist Saturday night service last night. It was great to see the turn out. There is a coffee house afterwards so we hung out for a while and then went to Buffalo Wild Wings with friends.

Yesterday was a very exciting day in the life of our small group. It was the day that the first couple took the step into parenthood. Andrew William was born at 9:45 pm weighing 6 lb. 6 oz and 19 inches long. The parents are doing well. Little Drew is in the ICU for monitoring right now because the umbillical cord was around his neck and he was having a difficult time breathing. He is doing fine right now but he will be in the hospital till Tuesday for monitoring. Mom hopefully gets to go home tomorrow. They will be great parents and we look forward to see Drew grow to be a big strong man!

That is about all for now. Tomorrow is a busy day. I have an early meeting and I get to go to a Shuttle crew debrief in the afternoon. It should be interesting!

My friend Sonia is having a Creative Memories crop on Friday if anyone would like to come. My mother in law is having a Home Show on Sunday. If you are interested in attending, let me know and I’ll get you directions.

I will try to update more often. 🙂

Good night!

Mowing!

Ok, yes that is a weird title for an entry. Don’t laugh but today was the first time I mowed in my life. I have given in to the need to get things done a bit faster when weather is getting bad. I do have to say that it wasn’t that bad but there is no way I could do it when the sun is up like Robert does. It wasn’t too hot tonight. It was also good exercise but I have to get a pattern down to know where to blow the grass (since our mower doesn’t mulch as well as I would like) so I don’t choke up the mower. I guess it is good that I didn’t think it was that bad. Robert is taking 3 classes next semester so there will probably be times when he can’t mow. Now I can do it some and then the other times we can get our friend Bob to come over.

Tomorrow I am going to get ready for a CM show on Friday and my crop on Saturday. I might also take the dogs to get their nails trimmed. We will see how motivaed I am when I get up.

Oh yeah, I also planted 2 Shrimp Plants that a friend at work gave me and a new Mandevilla vine that I got from Home Depot today. Hopefully I won’t kill them 🙂 Eventually all the plants in pots will go in the ground as soon as the weather cools down enough for us to make the flower beds.

Well off to bed. I pray that everyone will have a safe and restfull weekend.

Happy Anniversary to Misty and Eric!!!!
They have been married 1 week and 1 day longer than Robert and I. We got back from our honeymoon and attended their wedding the next day. They are great friends and I wish them a lifetime of laughs!

Well another launch date has been set for the Shuttle. They are aiming for July 26th. Gosh I sure hope everything goes well! It will be so nice to be flying again.

Not a whole lot has happened this week. We have had a lot of rain though. It is nice for the grass but the mosquitoes are coming out pretty strong now. Time to spray with Off when working in the yard. I have also been fighting allergies/cold this week. The rain has made the mold spores real high so it has caused a lot of people to be out of work. I am getting better now though so that is always a good thing.

I had lunch with some great friends today. They are so wonderful! I thank God everyday for the people he has connected us with!

This weekend we were going to be going to Camp Creek till Saturday evening but now we are going to stay home. I would love to get some scrapbooking done. We will see how I feel. We also need to work on the yard if it will dry up enough. Robert mowed last Sunday but the grass was so wet it was hard to clean it up.

Maybe we can squeeze in a movie as well. I’d love to go see Fantastick 4. I have heard it was good.

I’d better go now. As you can see, I still haven’t figured out how to post pictures or links on the side. Now I see why God made people with the patients to program…

Yall have a great night! Enjoy your weekend and be safe!
