Yesterday was our 4th Anniversary. We went and had great pork chops for lunch at Perry’s Steakhouse and then went back to work. We were hoping to see Discovery launch but it has been delayed. The latest I have heard in No Earlier Than Monday. It would have been cool for Return to Flight to happen on our Anniversary but it is much more important to launch safely.

We are all watching Hurricane Emily. Hopefully it will steer clear of Houston. We are hoping to go get plywood for our windows on Saturday so we can star fitting them and we know we have to wood.

Tomorrow a few friends and I are going shopping and then we are going to make cupcakes for a baby shower on Saturday. It will be nice to have a girls night out!

By the way, the Creative Memories show on Saturday went great!!! My friend is very close to earning the free things she wants. I even got another show booked for the end of the month! I always like going to shows becuase I get to meet so many new people.

I guess that is it for tonight. I am going to try to figure out links and I am also going to try to get pictures of our “kids” up this weekend.

Rain!

Well it has finally been raining. June was so dry and hot. It will be nice to not have to water for a few days. As long as the hurricanes stay away from Florida until after the Shuttle’s launch and landing things will be great. Not that I would ever wish a Hurricane the size of Dennis on anyone, it does help out in returning to space. The atmosphere around NASA is interesting. I was teaching the last time a Shuttle flew so have never really been involved in the operations. I would call it exciting but other’s would call it stressful. Right now launch is scheduled for 2:51pm Central on July 13. Yall try to watch it!

Last night there was event at my church where a DJ from KSBJ came and spoke. It was great! This was the first official women’s event and there was an awesome turnout! I also ran into one of my dear friends from when I was growing up. She was my 5th grade SUnday School teacher. She is as wonderful as ever and it was great to catch up real fast. Of course the question about babies came up. Why is it that people are sometime (more so than not) shocked when you tell them you are about to celebrate your 4th anniversary and are not planning to have kids for another year or so? Just a thought…

I have a Creative Memories Show/Crop tonight. I hope it goes well. The coordinator and I are great friends and there is a great promotion this month that I want her to earn. Well, I finally have a Blog! I don’t know how much I’ll post but will try to make it weekly.

Welcome! Let me introduce myself. My name is Kendra and I live just south of Houston, TX. I am married to a wonderful mannamed Robert. We celebrate 4 years on July 13. We have 2 dogs and one cat. (Pictures will come later). I currently work for a NASA contractor in the area that supplies clothing. hygiene items and office supplies to the International Space Station crew. Robert also works for a NASA contractor.

I am a Creative Memories consultant and Robert is taking classes to get his Masters in Software Engineering. We are very involved with church as well.
