Christmas lights, baking and friends!

Robert surprised me earlier this week by putting up the Christmas lights outside.  It was so sweet of him.  The yard looks nice this year.  We added tape on our poles so now they look like candy canes and we also added a row on the other side of the driveway.  There is talk of putting more lights and a star on the garage.  I think it would look great but it is up to Robert if he wants to get up on the roof or not.

I am going to be doing a lot of baking this weekend.  I have mini banana bread loafs, chocolate oatmeal no-bake, monster cookies, and possibly cranberry orange cookies on the list.  I will also be making the cake and frosting for a baby shower cake on Tuesday.  It’s been a while since I made a cake so I’m looking forward to that but not all the mess involved with the frosting.

I am just so thankful for the wonderful friends I have!  I had my bookclub this last week and those ladies are just so much fun!  We are all around the same age but yet are all so different.  Let me tell you that I have learned a ton about having and raising kids from them.  We are having a Christmas party tomorrow and there is an ornament exchange and cookie exchange.  Hopefully I will come home with a lot of good recipes!

Yall have a great weekend.  I will post pictures of the baby shower cake when it is complete next week.

ETBU visit

This last weekend, Robert and I went back to ETBU for my 5th reunion. It was so wonderful to see friends from school. It was like we weren’t even apart for that long. Friends made in college are lifelong friends! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. If anyone is interested in the printable version, send me an email and I’ll get it to you.
A big group of us who graduated around 2001 gathered together for a picture.
Sherrie Chesser, Me, Amber Hunter, Trudy Wooldridge at Amber and Jae’s house.
Michelle Duke, Kendra and Robert, Trudy, Peyton, and Woodrow Wooldridge at IHOP.

I have several others so let me know if you want to see them. I also have them on my facebook.

My Space Page

I finally set up a MySpace.com page. I mainly did it to catch up with people. This will be my main area for updating though. Once I figure out MySpace then I might do more over there.
