Eating Habits and upcoming events.

I have a couple of people who work around me that talk while they have food in their mouths and smack a lot while eating.  It drives me insane!!!  Ok, I’m done ranting now…

This last weekend was nice.  Friday night our friend Melissa came over for dinner.  She has been in Central Asia for the last 2 years so it was great to get to hang out with her more.  The only thing I had planned was a baby shower on Saturday.  After the shower I went and dropped off some CM items to a friend and got to hang out with her for a bit.  It was nice to see her house and look at her wedding pictures.  Sunday I served at church at 10 and then went to see one of my 5 year olds get baptized.  It was awesome.  After church I went to meet Robert at our friends house and we hung out at their pool and ate hot dogs.  I wish I had brought my bathing suit.  It was a beautiful day!

Tonight we are taking dinner to our friends Tommy and Courtney.  They had a baby a couple of weeks ago so we get to see Isaac again.  Always fun times!!  Wednesday I have to go to the dentist to get some fillings filled.  I’m not looking forward to that at all!  I don’t know if they will be able to fill both of them on the same visit or not.  They are both on the top at the exact same areas opposite sides of the mouth.  Friday night Robert and I are walking in the Relay for Life.  It supports the American Cancer Society and goes over night.  I’m not sure if I am able to stay the whole night due to having a meeting at church at 9:30 that Saturday along with a friends Pampered Chef Party and a Graduation Party that evening.  Sunday is just as busy!  I’ll find time to sleep at some point…

Well that’s all for now.  Have a great week!

How to taste Chocolate

I found this online and thought it was great!  Just like wine tasting… hmmm wine and chocolate….

How to Taste Chocolate

Look
Look at the Chocolate in bar form and scan for any air bubbles, streaks, or discoloration. You do not want any of those in or on your chocolate. You want to see a nice shine on the chocolates surface.

Smell
Smell the entire bar before breaking off a piece. Get the full aroma of the bar and try to pick out the distinct aroma of that particular bar. Many times you will be able to know what the bar will taste like by smelling it. You can also smell apart a bar filled with sugar and a high cacao content bar.

Snap
Listen to the snap of the chocolate as you break a piece off. Should be a nice clean loud snap.

Taste
Most important! The look, smell, and snap could all be perfect but if it doesn’t taste good then it is meaningless. Break a small piece of chocolate and put it on your tongue. Let the chocolate melt on your tongue and start to push it around between the roof of your mouth and all area’s of your tongue. This will allow you to taste all the flavors that particular chocolate has to offer. Take it nice and slow so you can really taste out any and every flavor that presents itself.

Texture
Chocolate’s texture can big an important part to some people and not as important to others. You can have a sandy, grainy, chalky, smooth, waxy, and even slimy texture. Smooth slick texture is usually preferred but you can like whatever you want.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!

Peyton had his 3rd birthday party this weekend. He picked TMNT as the theme. We made cupcakes together. He was such a great help! He didn’t eat anything till the end when he picked a blue turtle to eat. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

We had a wonderful time in Ft.Worth! Trudy is due to having a baby in about 3 weeks so it was great to see her beforehand too. Hopefully we can meet Kendalynn before the end of summer.
