Well I am still hanging in there.  I will actually be 37 weeks tomorrow.  I went to the doctor last Friday and I am now 3 cm dilated.  I go again this Friday so we shall see if I have progressed any.  We picked a pediatrician last week as well.  We are going with Dr. Quillin.  He said 37 weeks is the magic number for boys.  Anything after that is super for their development.

We have our bags all packed and in the car with us just in case we have to go from work or something.  There are just a few things at home still but nothing major.  We have friends and family that can swing by and pick them up for us.  We are so ready to meet Levi.  I am nervous don’t get me wrong but after feeling him move so much and seeing my belly grow, we are super ready!

We went and got maternity pictures made this last Saturday.  We decided to go with JC Penney this time to see how we like them.  We only got 3 poses so that was good.  They will be ready for pickup on the 8th but I am hoping they will be ready earlier.  I am going to call on the 5th to check.  The only thing I didn’t like about them was that in order to get a 5×7, you have to get billfolds and wallets on the same page.  I wish they would offer a sheet with 2 5×7’s.  Oh well.  We will figure things out.  Especially since we want to take Levi every month for pictures.  I’m sure we will try other places too.

Robert finished the book cases for the game room.  They look great!  I’ll try to post a picture later when I am home.  He did an AWESOME job.

We are trying to figure out a plan to let everyone know what is going on.  Stay tuned.

Getting Levi’s room ready!!

Here is his bed with the quilt on it. My Mom and Charlie and Charlie got him his bedding as a shower gift. It is so soft and snuggly. We are waiting for the valance to come in and the wall hangings are ready to be picked up. There is also a matching diaper stacker and a lamp shade that we already have.

That’s all of his room for now. We went through all his clothes and sorted them out this weekend. He has SO many clothes! Lois has been so helpful in washing all of them. Thanks to my Mom as well for helping open the packages and sort through things. It has made a HUGE difference in getting things ready.

We just got back from our appointment and it turns out that I am 2 cm dilated already.  They hooked me up for a non-stress test to monitor baby movements and hear rate and everything looks great.  This is something the typically do for patients with gestational diabetes.  The doctor is doubting I will make it to the 21st of Feb. but then again who knows.  I go every week now so we will keep an eye on things and keep yall updated. 

We have aborted the glaze stripes idea now and are just going to touch up the paint on the walls and go from there.  I picked up our bedding yesterday and it is super cute!  My mom is coming over on Monday to help me wash things and get the crib made up. 

If anyone wants to come over and help us get some stuff finished up, we would love the help.  Robert is just hoping I make it past the Super bowl.  My goal is 3 more weeks.  That will put me at 38 weeks.  The longer little boys can stay in, the better off they are.

First of all, an update about the prayer request I posted the other day.  The talk went good.  They didn’t flat out say no but there are things we need to figure out.  Basically I am really wanting to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s.  We need to figure out my tasks and time involved.  Luckily I can be flexible within reason if we have activities on Tuesdays or Thursdays that I need to be present for and I can also work from home some if needed.  We just need to figure out if I would still work my MWF plus additional days or just keep it to 3 days.  Thank you all for you’re your prayers!

Now, onto a Levi update…

We went yesterday for another ultrasound and everything is looking really good.  He is measuring at 4 lb. 11 oz and the estimated due date is around the week of 2/18/2008.  They take measurements of his head, abdomen, heart etc. and average them together.  At this point he is at an angle with head down toward my right side (that would explain the movements on my upper right and left sides).  Amniotic fluid levels look good also.  The Gestational Diabetes control is going well too.  I am slowly figuring out what I can handle so that makes meals a lot easier!  I will be ready for a more “normal” diet though.  I kind of miss having cereal for dinner and I miss pizza for sure!  The diet will and is helping me not gain weight as fast so that’s a good thing.  We will post pictures as soon as we get them scanned in. 

Tomorrow we go take the Baby Care class at the hospital and then I go for the Breastfeeding class. Then that night we go out for my brother’s birthday.  It is going to be a busy day.  Robert is going to work on the 2nd set of book cases too.

Robert starts a new job on Monday with Honeywell.  He has to go to Phoenix, Arizona on Monday and Tuesday for new employee orientation.  Be praying for us while he is gone.  I have been super tired and have an early meeting on Monday.  Hopefully all the pets will behave and go potty where they are supposed to (Zoë) and not run around like a maniac (Bailey and Tyler).

We (I) am hoping to do maternity pictures on the 19th.  I just have to figure out where and what we are going to wear.  We are thinking about The Picture People and JC Penney.
