Levi at 11 weeks or so.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Levi so far. I like his expression here. He’s getting good at grabbing things. He still has random hand movements, but he manages to grab things after a bit of concentration.
Its hard being a baby, and sometimes you just need to rest.
Mommy and baby hanging out. He was doing good hanging out. Notice he’s got shoes on. That’s his first time wearing shoes. Awesome.
He likes his little rocker. Here he is staring at a sheep. Don’t worry, he’s not THAT interested in them, so we don’t have to worry about him becomming an aggie.
So there’s this great book called “The Name of the Wind” by Patrick Rothfuss. I read the authors blog because he’s pretty funny. This month his paperback version of the book came out, and he did a contest to post pictures with the book for prizes. A month ago he announced the next book in the trilogy is not due for another month do to things out of his control. So my caption for this picture, “Levi can’t believe he has to wait another year for the next book. That’s a long time for a two month old.”
Levi’s buddy Gus has a “Don’t Bug Me” shirt, and we saw this one and decide to get it for Levi to wear. He seems to like it.
This is a special picture right here. That outfit was worn 29 years ago… by me. It has regular buttons. Man, that’s so old school.
This is another old school outfit I wore. Once again regular buttons. It is definitely harder to get a baby in an outfit with all that regular buttonness going on.
A tip of the hat to you. We’ll see you later with the next set of pictures.

Busy Times!

This month has been a busy one. I am prepping to go back to work soon so we started Levi in day care this week. So far it looks like he is doing really well. He is sleeping a lot (but I hear the whole class naps well) and he is eating every 3 hours. At home he eat about every 1.5 to 2 hours. I was a bit concerned that I couldn’t keep up with him but so far so good. I have been using this time to get caught up on errands and appointments that I haven’t been able to go to.

We have enjoyed out walks as much as the weather allows. Real windy days aren’t as much fun so they are shorter walks.

Levi has taught me so much in the last 2.5 months. He has been such a joy to have. He is perfect in every way! Each day is a new one with new changes and new challenges.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Tummy Time using the Boppy.

Granny came over when he got his 2 month shots to help out. Overall he did really well.
Getting ready to go to church.
He has gotten so big! Here he is when we were playing. He grabbed his rattle for the first time when we were playing.
His smile is hard to catch on camera. We need to video tape him so we can catch it better.

This was a cute outfit that Robert got Levi. It is the Mutt’s comic.Levi and I hanging out. He got new shoes the day before. They were super cute! Not surw how long they will fit though. He has big feet.

That’s all I have time for right now. We are going to a walk.

Love, Kendra

2 Month Pictures

We went to JC Penney’s to get pictures taken for Levi’s 2 month pics and here they are. JC Penney was very particular on their website that I know they have the copyright for these.

He looks like a grumpy guy telling us how its going to be.
Surprise!
This one isn’t too bad. Any time you put him on his belly he takes it as a challenge to do pushups.
At this point he’s trying to figure out what we’re doing to him.
Time for more pushups.
Finally someone holding him, so he’s a little happier. Notice he’s looking at Daddy. I guess he seems Mommy all the time, so Daddy is cooler.
Here we are, all looking different directions.

What you don’t see in these is him fussing in between each picture. We decided to do this on a weeknight. The benefit is there is no crowd waiting to go next after us. The downside is his fussiest time of day is in the evening around 6… when we were taking pictures.

Oh well, he’s cute in them anyways, and we got some good ones.

Caption This

Some pictures just scream for captioning. One of the great things about babies is their total innocence in what consists of a funny face. Levi makes all sorts of faces that bring joy to our lives. From the simplest smile to the grunting red face that signals a diaper change on the way. The one below is great. Its like this extreme surprise at something. It would make a great Caption This contest.

“Whoa, what’s that in my pants?”
“Wait, you mean they’re remaking Bill and Ted’s Excellent adventure?”
“She said what?”
“That is the biggest thermometer I’ve ever seen?”
“Wait, you mean I have to get more shots?”
etc.
