My first Mother’s Day!

I had a wonderful 1st Mother’s Day! It started out with Levi and Robert giving me a beautiful pair of earrings from James Avery and a card from each of them. Then we went to church where Levi made a poem with his foot prints on it. After church we went to lunch with our good friends David, Jodi and Reagan. We had a great time together! When we got home we all took a nap for a couple of hours. After we got up, we went to Levi’s room and worked in it some more. Since I went out early to have him, we never did get a chance to finish things up. We hung letters for his name and some Winnie the Pooh wall hangings. We also organized his closet some. It is a relief to have it in better shape. So we didn’t go or do anything out of the ordinary but we spent great time together. I love my boys so much! God has blessed me a million times over with them. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Our friend Brian graduated from Grad school on Saturday and we went to a party at his house. Levi was fussy a lot but he did calm down and we were able to get a cute shot of the 2 of us.

Here is Levi with my cards and gift.

This is an outfit that Robert’s Mom’s best friend Lorraine made for Levi. It never go cold enough for him to wear it so we put it on him today to take pictures. He wasn’t so sure about the hat.

We took some self portraits out in the front yard this afternoon.

Then our neighbor walked by and took our picture.

Robert took a picture of Levi and I. You can actually see how blue his eyes are in this one!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there! Hope it was a great day.

Love, Kendra, Robert and Levi

LASER Eyes

So over a month ago I got my LASER vision. LASIK is crazy freaky, but it can have great results. I now have 20/15 vision, which is awesome, since I was way worse before. I had to wear glasses or contacts for anything. I was reading an article today online that talked about all the issues this one guy has had because of LASIK. He’s basically gone blind and had to have a cornea transplant. Its a crazy story about what happens when you go to a disreputable place for really important surgery. I got mine done by Dr. Lipsky, who is one of the best in our area. He’s done tons of them, and I know a lot of people that went to him, so I was less worried. Today was my one month appointment, so that’s when I found out I have the 20/15 vision, which is better than normal. Below is a blurry shot of my eye from my cell phone camera. Why? Well, why not. Its ironic because its a blurry shot of an eye that no longer sees blurry. Great, huh?

Sorry for anyone hoping to see any pictures of Levi in this post, its just my eye.

This has been an exciting last couple of weeks! Levi has grown SO much. He is such an amazing little guy! What a blessing he has been in our lives. By the way, Robert has been updating his blog more frequently with pictures and news as well. Feel free to check it out! He has some different pictures on his sometimes. *We don’t always know when each other is updating their blog*

Here is Levi hanging out in an awesome moose outfit.

He loves to sit propped up on the couch. Here he is with one of his cute smiles! We are finally able to catch it on camera a bit more often. I love his gummy smiles and his cute laughs.
He was worn out after attending his first Geocaching even hosted by Nana and PawPaw.
He LOVES his hands! He things they are the most awesome thing in the world. He is really learning to control them. Look at that determination!
Here he is with his friend Connor. Connor is only 3 months older than Levi. They are Geocaching buddies! Connor also hands down his clothes to Levi.
Daddy picked out some cool new rattles at Target. He loves grabbing onto them.
His friend Ella gave him her Bumbo seat. We tried it for the first time this weekend. I think we need a little more time before it will really work. He seemed to like it though.
Such a sweet baby.
Daddy likes pirates and I found this cute outfit for him. He isn’t sure what to think of the camera.
Another pirate outfit. This was one morning when we were about to head to school. I think it is one of my favorites!

Well that’s it for now. Levi will be 3 months old on Friday! I can’t believe it has gone so fast! I never thought I could love someone as much as I love Levi. We thank God for him everyday and pray for guidance in raising a Godly young man!

Growing

Levi is growing up, getting new things figured out all the time. He knows about his hands and feet now. Here he is checking out his feet and his hands. He’s in his froggy outfit, which he wore to an event for geocaching. The mascot for geocaching is a frog, so it was fitting.
Here’s those really cool shoes he wore.
Here he is with another geocaching baby that was born not long before Levi.
I love this outfit. Anything with a moose on it is awesome.
He’s a pirate fan. Arrrrgh.
He can’t exactly guide the hands very well, but they do make it to his mouth well. And of course if you put two rattles in his hands they go to his mouth instead. He’s gotten to where he can grab the rattles on his own sometimes.
He’s holding up his head pretty well, though it doesn’t always stay up. Here he is sitting up in his bumbo seat.

I’m throwing in a random animal shot just cause its funy. Tyler aways wants to get in the dog houses. This time he got himself locked in with the dog.
