Fun times with Friends!

Levi had a pretty busy weekend. Friday we went bowling with my company. Brian and Ann-Marie were on our lane with us along with Granny, Grandad and Ms. Jennifer. Here are some pictures. Ms. Kelly is the other person holding Levi.

Levi also went swimming today at Mrs. Kristen and Mr. Johns pool. We go to their house on Sundays for swimming and cookouts. Levi really enjoyed his time in the pool. Yes we watched him carefully and kept him in the shade.

Since Levi is able to sit up a bit better, we have been able to try new toys out and get some cute pictures of him. Here is one of him and me on the couch one afternoon. We were laying down together and he got tired of that so that’s why I look kind of weird. You can see how blue his eyes are.

We also got to break out the Intellitainer that the Rajaji’s let us borrow. He liked it a lot and will like it more when he is even bigger.
Our friend David (Jodi’s husband) was the Lead Spacewalk Officer for STS-124 and he had to speak during the press conference after each EVA. We were able to catch one of them so we took a picture of him on TV. It isn’t the best shot of him but it was the best we got. He did an excellent job and we are proud of how hard he works!

Here is a video of Levi’s 1st swimming day.

Have a great week! Check out Robert’s blog for different pictures.

New season of life!

Well I am officially a part time employee as of this week! God has blessed us to be able to work out a plan for me to work on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. It will be so great to spend more time with Levi and get our house in order (or at least try). I really appreciate my teammates and company for supporting us in this decision.

Levi is such a joy. Everyday he learns something new and shows me something about myself. He helps me to sit back and enjoy the most simple things like feeling the wind in our faces and holding hands. He loves to be outside enjoying the beauty that God gave us.

Below are some random pictures from the last few weeks. Robert has some different ones on his site but we might have duplicated.

This one was one morning when we were about the leave for work and school. He is such a happy guy in the mornings. Lots of smiles and talking. Actually he is happy majority of the time, I guess it is more so in the mornings since he is well rested.

He is starting to sit up on his own. Here he is sitting on the floor. He was doing really well but the camera took too long to go so we missed some of it. He loves being able to look around. He has started getting in the exersaucers at school. We have one we are borrowing from a friend that we need to wipe down and bring inside. I can’t believe it is already time for Levi to try it out!
Random self portraits of us chilling on the couch.

We put his new highchair together so he could sit at the table with us and see better. He seems to really like it. It was a gift from Ms. Jennifer, Mr. Bill and Ms. Caroline.

This hat is one from a friend who is a member of the Clear Lake Outlaw Knitters (C.L.O.K). We found it hanging on a light in front of our house one night.
Levi is big enough to go for walks without his carrier now. It is much cooler for him. We just need to figure out how to rig up a sunshade for the fron part. Need to get some clothes pins…
Here is Grandaddy Hogle playing with Levi when we were over one time.
Great Maw-Maw McGowan came for Uncle Matt’s wedding and got to hang out with Levi a lot. Here they are on the back porch of Granny’s house enjoying the nice summer weather.
Ms. Jennifer also got Levi these awesome sun glasses as a gift. He is finally big enough to wear them. He actually doesn’t seem to mind them. I tell you, he is so laid back.
This is a picture Robert shot at the wedding. Levi was getting a bit overwhelmed at the wedding so we went outside to get some quiet and enjoy the weather after the rain.
Summer baby! This is an outfit that my friend Theresa gave us from her son Matthew who is just about 1 year older than Levi.

That’s it for now. My Mom just brought over her pictures from the wedding weekend that I will try to post some on here. She got better shots of my brother and Jennifer.

3 Month Pictures

We just got the email with the small size pictures from our latest portraits. These are Levi’s 3 month portraits, taken when he was 3.5 months old. We had a busy month and that was the earliest we could make it in.

This is a cute one of him laying down. We had to work quite a bit with him to calm him down. He wasn’t feeling portraity at the start.

Here’s a closer shot of him smiling some. Its so hard to catch a baby smiling sometimes. He doesn’t smile for long when there’s a camera around, he gets distracted by the camera itself.
Here you can see his onesie with his name on it. This was a gift he got before he was even born from Kendra’s friend Misty if I remember correctly.
This is his best shirt so far. If you can’t read it the shirt says “My First Longhorns Tee”. And it is. Its very hard to find Longhorns stuff for babies this time of year. Apparently the fools that order clothes for children assume that the Longhorns, and other college teams, only exist during football season. Now while football is glorious we do have other teams. Our basketball team made it to the tournament this year, and our baseball team, though it was just eliminated from the regionals, is still the Big 12 Tournament Champion. So they need to start selling more college team gear… for boys. That’s a whole rant right there…
Here’s the whole family with a great big grin from Levi. He was happier by this point and the camera lady did a good job getting his attention. She has a kid a little older than Levi, so that helped.

Here’s the last one, with him back in his Levi shirt. The family all together looking cool in blue.
