The Ladies Man

Here’s Levi checking out Zoe. He likes their fur, its soft and different. The cats aren’t so sure about this. They have no idea what will be coming in their future.

He’s getting really good with his hands. As with all babies everything goes straight to his mouth. He doesn’t have a huge amount of finesse yet, so sometimes he ends up clubbing himself in the face, but he’s learning fast.
Here he is at day care. He’s such a ladies man. There’s three boys and one girl laying on the mat, but notice the girl is checking him out. Oh yeah.
Levi is on the left here with his name on his shirt. Brenna is on the bottom looking towards him. Erik is on the top and Mark is on the right.
It will be fun watching all of them grow up and change.

Father’s Day and trip to Austin

This last weekend was a ton of fun. We went to Austin to celebrate Robert’s 1st Father’s Day and celebrate our friend Stephen’s 30th birthday! Check out Robert’s blog for more pictures.

Here is Robert and Levi having a nice conversation on Father’s Day. You can see video of it on Robert’s blog. Levi is so happy in the mornings.
Here is Levi just chilling on the bed while we get ready to head out.
For some reason I didn’t get any pictures of us eating at Kerbey Lane or going to the UT campus. We wanted to get a picture of Levi in front of Bevo but it was too bright. Next time we go maybe we can pull it off.

On our way home we stopped at Carino’s Italian in Katy. This is one of our favorite chains Italian places. There is one in Katy and one in Pearland. We had a really good time with really good food.
While in Austin we were also able to see my Paw-Paw Jancha. This is the 1st time he has met Levi.

This is my cousin Katy. She is 7. She went out to eat with us at one of my favorite pizza places, Conan’s. I wish we could have gotten together with the rest of my family but it didn’t work out. This is Paw-Paw’s girlfriend Alice. She is a very nice lady and we enjoy visiting with her when we go to Austin.

We look forward to seeing Paw-Paw and Alice when they come in July.

Levi also rolled over from his tummy to his back on Father’s Day! Robert has pictures on his blog of it happening. He was so excited that he got to see it happen.

Here is Levi sporting his outfit that Misty gave him. I just love his little shorts!!

Levi is doing so well with his tummy time. He hasn’t rolled over again but is really close.
Levi is starting to notice the cats more. Here he is petting Tyler.
Have a great weekend!

First Fathers Day

This Fathers day is my first as a dad, and I got to go to Austin for it. One of my friends, Stephen, who lives up there had his 30th birthday this week, so we went to visit him. On Thursday night Levi and Kendra gave me my gift since we would be out of town. I got an awesome cookie cake card. In my opinion this is the only type of card you should give a man. Here’s a picture of it with the writing on the left and the cake, already started on the right.

Here’s the other part of my gift. The Complete Far Side. I already have the Complete Calvin and Hobbes, so this goes with it and its a welcome addition.
On Friday night and Saturday morning we hung out with Kendra’s Paw Paw, but she’ll have those pictures on her blog. Saturday afternoon we went to Stephen’s house for a small ice cream party. Here’s Stephen playing with Audrey (dark hair) and Beverly (light hair) and a bunch of Legos. The two little girls and their brother Clay came over with KC, a friend from college and her husband David, who has the same great birthday as me.
Here’s Levi Saturday night hanging out and trying to sit up. He can do it for a little while, but then he gets tired and has trouble with the balance.
Here’s Levi with Stephen and his wife Amy. It was his first time up there to meet them and he had fun. They should be down in our area next weekend too, so its great to get to see them twice in consecutive weeks.

Here’s Stephen holding Levi. He looked pretty comfortable with it, so who knows what the near future may hold.On Sunday morning I woke up to a happy Levi. He’s usually happy in the morning and today he decided to hang out and talk to me. It was nice.
Here’s a video of him just chatting away with me. He’s such a joy, especially when he’s in such a good mood.

In the morning we had breakfast at Kerbey Lane Cafe in Austin, which was great, then we stopped at Carinos in Katy on the way home. Two great meals in one day. Add this to Conan’s on Friday night and some good Asian food on Saturday night. I think I gained some weight this weekend.
Here’s Levi when we go home. He was tired, but we decided to put him on his tummy to help him work some stuff out.
Then he lifted up his arm.
Next thing we knew he was on his back. His first time rolling over on his own! We got the second one on the camcorder, but I’ll have to pull it off later. This was a nice treat for my first Fathers day. All in all it was a great weekend.

Bowling and Swimming

Here’s a shot of Levi looking cool in some overalls. They’re more complicated, but one of those things that looks cute on babies.

He wore them to bowling, but I’m guessing Kendra will post a lot of those pictures since they are with her mom and friends. This is us with Brian and Ann-Marie at the bowling alley for Kendra’s company bowling night. It was a lot of fun except they turned off the lights and did the annoying party lighting. Makes it a lot harder to bowl.

Since Levi can hold his head up really well he’s been getting to do more stuff. We cleaned up the Intellitainer thingy that the Rajajis let us borrow. It had a lot of dust on it so we wiped it all off then put him in there. He seemed to like it so I’m sure it will get a lot of use.
Here’s Levi on his first swimming trip. We had been over to our friend’s house several times and missed out on the swimming, but this time we made it in time and got to enjoy it. He enjoys bath time, so we figured he might like this. It turns out he really liked it and was in the water for quite a while. Here you can see him in his special swimming gear that blocks the sun.
Kristen bought a floaty at Kroger one day on a whim because it was cheap. It was quite big for Levi, but it kept him out of the water, and with supervision worked pretty well. He seemed to like it a lot.

Here he is leaning back enjoying the water. He had a lot of fun.
Here’s a video of Levi hanging out with mommy.

And here he is floating in the floaty with me. Don’t worry Grandmothers, he was only in the sun for a few seconds and didn’t get a sunburn.
