Thanksgiving

Here’s Levi enjoying the morning sun on the nice wood floor. He liked the wood, it made it a lot easier to move quickly. Carpet has too much friction. Of course carpet is softer when you fall too.
Levi really enjoyed reading the paper while we were in Baltimore. Here you can see him checking for sales in the Thanksgiving paper.
Here’s Levi in his Thanksgiving onesie. He was playing with his hair brush, which he loves.
Levi learned to wave on the trip and took lots of opportunities to practice.
Levi hanging out with granny early on Thanksgiving. That’s his little turkey outfit.
This is Bria, one of my Aunt’s nieces. Levi was flirting with her a lot.
Levi was actually flirting with all the girls. Most of the girls aren’t blood relation to him, so its okay :oP.
Here’s all the kids playing video games, most of them on Nintendo DSs. What you can’t see is me sitting by the window playing on mine.
My aunt and uncle had a stove to warm the room and Levi LOVED to look at the fire. Here he is staring at it.
This is Barb, my aunt’s sister. Levi liked her a lot. You can tell she has grand kids and knows how to handle them.
Apparently its tradition to get a picture of all the kids together, so here they are. Levi was the newest addition and was enjoying hanging out with the girls again.
Here’s the happy family hanging out.
And a good shot with his great granny.
This is all of my mom’s brothers and sisters that were present. She has 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Uncle Larry is standing, Aunt Doris is squatting, Granny is holding Levi, and Uncle Mel and Aunt Janet are doing bunny ears on each other.
This is Aunt Sallie and Uncle Larry. We were staying at their house and we had a great time with them. They have a lovely home and made us feel very welcome.
This is my cousin Christina. We are very close in age, so we group up seeing each other when I’d visit up there.
Here’s Levi attacking Uncle Mel’s beard again. He just loves pulling on those beards.
There’s still more pictures coming, this only gets us through Thanksgiving, so tune in again soon and I’ll have more Levi pictures.

Levi’s First Trip

For Thanksgiving we took Levi on his first big trip. We went to Baltimore, Maryland and Bath, North Carolina, both places to visit family. Since its colder up north we had to gear him up for it. Here he is modeling one of his items, a reversible vest.
It seems to be a tradition in our house that any child old enough to move on their own ends up in our dog’s kennels. Levi has used his new mobility to join the crowd. Here he is on his first trip, contemplating an oval toy. Check out those teeth.
First plane ride! Levi had his own seat for the ride, to save us from having to hold him the whole time. We probably could have done it, but this was nice for the nap feature, which was employed on the way to and from the vacation.
Here is the nap feature in action.
Levi got to meet his great granny on this trip. This is my mom’s mom. Here he is on her lap taking a look at Taz. We went over on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to give them a chance to hang out before the whole crowd gathered. My family is big, so this is a good thing.

Levi learned to start waving on the trip. Here he is waving to granny.

Here is Levi hanging out with his Aunt Carol and Uncle Bill. He had fun playing with them and their great toys.

Here is Levi with his Aunt Doris. He hung out with her a lot. Any similarity in her appearance to his grandma is purely coincidental and will be denied by both grandma and Aunt Doris. After all, their hair is different.

Here’s Aunt Carol enjoying some Levi loving.

Aunt Janet is loads of fun, Levi really liked hanging out with her. She must have liked him, she even broke her cardinal rule of no cleaning up anything that comes out of the baby. She wiped up a little spitup off of him. Apparently it wouldn’t have matched his outfit, so it had to go.

Levi liked Granny’s brakes on her wheelchair. He wanted to turn them off and go!
Levi likes beards, Uncle Mel’s was a lot of fun, its longer than daddy’s, so it was good to play with and grab on to.
Here’s Levi hanging out with Aunt Linda and Uncle Mel.
Here’s the crowd hanging out watching TV. We were all together for Uncle Mel’s birthday. He’s going to be 50 on December 7th, but since we were in town there was a surprise early birthday party.
Here’s Uncle Kenny chatting with Levi over mommy’s shoulder.

I have a TON more pictures, and I’ll slowly be posting them. We took almost 350 pictures and some good video as well.

I just realized it has been several weeks since I have made a post. Boy time sure goes fast!

We leave on vacation tomorrow and won’t be back till December. Man that’s weird to say. This year has gone so fast! It has been an awesome year too! We are so blessed!!!

Levi is getting over another ear infection. He just can’t seem to shake it. He is such a trooper though. He is generally a very happy little guy. Please pray he heals fast and can enjoy our trip.

Today we went to get Christmas/9 month photos taken. I have to say that this was the worse experience we have had in 10 months. We went to the new JP Penney by us (3rd time) and the girl must have been new. She was so quite and boring. Levi didn’t smile at all and even started crying when he bumped his head in this pose that would be cute next year. We did get a good family shot and then one that works for his 9 month pictures. I decided that I am going to ask who is shooting pictures next time and give this location 1 more chance. If it stinks like this one, we will go back to Baybrook Mall. The traffic is horrible but the girls that take the pictures are great with kids.

Like I said earlier, we leave on vacation tomorrow. We fly to Baltimoreto see Robert’s family and stay till the Saturday after Thanksgiving and then we will drive to North Carolina to spend a few days with my Grandparents. We have so much stuff to take with us! I think it wouldn’t be so much if we weren’t going in the late Fall/Winter. We just don’t know what to expect and winter clothes are bulkier. It will be a fun visit though. I will try to post pictures as soon as possible.

Well time for bed. Here is one picture I thought I would share. Robert has some really cute ones on his blog. We haven’t gotten all the pictures from the camera yet.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Love, Kendra

Growing Up

Levi has his big boy seat for the car now. We went and got the convertible car seat for him today. He is only 1/4 of a inch below the limit on height for the carrier seat. That means we can use it for our trip coming up, but after that its done. The new seat is pretty cool. He got to use it tonight, but he was tired, so already irritable. We’ll see how he does tomorrow in it. He’s also been doing really good eating table food. He ate a whole banana today across two meals. Not bad.

Here’s our little man wearing my Longhorn hat. He was having fun with it on.
He is putting all his weight on me leaning over. Loads of fun.
Levi has really come to like his Halloween candy holder. It makes a great drum. Today he got a plastic spoon to use on it, no pictures of that yet.
We have a basket that toys and blankets end up in usually. Sometimes a baby ends up in there.
Almost got it!

Levi is a wild baby, here he is wearing pants his head again. Looks a little like what Samuel L. Jackson wears.Levi had a fancy dinner the other night. Peas, fresh bread, chicken and mashed potatoes. He’s taking this table food thing to heart. It makes him thirsty and he’s been doing good on that front as well. Here he is quenching his thirst.

Not all of the food made it into his mouth.

As noted earlier, Levi eats bananas now…with his hands… which he then wipes on his head. We decided to use it as styling gel tonight.
