He’s a movin’ man!

Levi is getting better at his walking skills.  He is learning to stop, start back up and turn.  He is so cute walking around.  He still crawls a good bit since it is faster but he will pull himself up and walk as well.

This last weekend we went to Olivia’s first birthday party.  He enjoyed the moonwalk a lot more this time.  He also enjoyed visiting with Olivia.  We are going to the Livestock show together on the 12th of March.  It should be a lot of fun to see them with the animals.  I’m looking forward to good pictures and the food!

Speaking of rodeo food, most of it is fried like Twinkies, snickers and corn dogs, I will be having my gallbladder removed on the 16th.  I have been having discomfort since November at least (possibly even while I was pregnant) and have narrowed it down through numerous tests.  The surgery will be around 10 on the 16th and will only last about an hour.  Then recovery room for an hour or so and then go home.   I will be out of work for about 2 weeks. Hopefully it won’t be that long though.  Please pray for me during this time and the surgery and recovery.  Luckily we are blessed to have our parents here to help out with Levi since I won’t be able to lift anything for a while.

Ok, enough about me back to Levi 🙂  He is still getting several teeth so that has been a lot of fun.  I had to take him to the doctor yesterday for a rash that he developed.  He thinks it is from the cold virus he has.  I thought he was having a reaction to the MMR shot he got earlier this month.  The rash looks better today and he hasn’t had a fever for several days.

I’ll post some pictures when I get home.  Hopefully soon I will have a new camera to use.

A Mouth Full of Pain

Levi can use straws now. He wants to do so whenever psosible. Here he is using a straw to his advantage.
He likes juice boxes. He can drink one at a single sitting.
Levi also likes pizza. Here he is taking care of some pizza crust.
Chewy!
Levi also likes music. Here he is banging away on a house with a maraca. This is at his buddy Erik’s birthday party. He loves making noise.
Birthday cake is good. A lot more supervision for this one. He only gets free reign for his birthday, so he has to wait a while for that.
Not too messy.
Levi and Erik played together at the party.
Levi got a truck for his birthday from his mommy’s friend Misty. He is starting to figure it out.
Levi found the EZ Cheese that we forgot to put up.
Levi is teething right now. Not just a little bit. He has at least three molars coming in, and at least three other teeth that we can see. At first we thought he had two bottom teeth coming in. Then we saw another on top. Then we saw a molar. Later we finally convinced him to let us feel his gums. We found another molar coming in. Today I felt another molar coming in. Poor guy. His gums are red where the other molar should be coming in. I suppose he could have eight teeth coming in. Needless to say he’s not very happy about it. Here he is chewing on a frozen chew toy to soothe his gums.
I suppose on the plus side he is getting it all over with at once.
Levi had a really busy week last week. He turned 1, got a bunch of teeth started, took his first steps and got to turn his car seat around. Here he is passed out facing forward. Its hard to have so many milestones in one week and not be sleepy I guess.
Hopefully this week will improve, though probably with the help of some ibuprofen. He’s doing pretty well considering his whole mouth has to hurt from teething.

Big week!

Levi has had a huge week. Monday was his 1st birthday, Wednesday he walked, and Friday he got to ride facing forward in the car for the fist time!

We went to Chick Fila on Monday for dinner to celebrate his actual birthday. I think he could eat there everyday if we would let him.

He took his steps on Wednesday the 11th. Of course I was at church that night but I got him to walk on Thursday. He takes 3-4 steps and then gets down to crawl. He will be off and running at anytime.

He went for his 12 month check up yesterday and weighs 20 lb. 9 oz. He is also 30 3/4 inches long/tall. He is a tall, thin boy. The dr. isn’t concerned though. He got to ride facing forward today. I think he liked it but it was kind of hard to tell.

We have had a fun week. Tomorrow we go to his friend Erik’s 1st birthday. Should be lots of fun.

Happy Birthday Levi!

My little baby is turning 1 today. One year ago my life totally changed. Levi has taught me so much about myself. He is such a joy to be around. So happy and loving. I never thought I could love someone as much as I love Levi. I pray everyday that God will help me to raise him to be a Godly young man who loves the Lord with all his heart and spreads His word throughout his life. Patience is something the Lord has helped me with this last year and I have also learned that I can function a bit better with less food and sleep then I originally thought. 🙂

Happy Birthday Levi! I love you with all my heart. Love, Mommy

==========================================================

Here are some pictures from his party on Saturday. Robert and I probably have some of the same ones but there might be some different. We rented a bounce house from the back yard and it was a lot of fun. My friend Liz made the cake and we had hot dogs/chili dogs. We are so thankful to all of our family and friends for their love and support! We couldn’t have made it through this last year with out them!
