Levi is potty training now, and as part of that he gets rewarded. For each time he goes in the potty he gets a sticker. He also gets one for brushing his teeth. At dinner time he gets M&Ms as a reward for each sticker he has. Here’s a shot of him enjoying an M&M snack in our kitchen one evening. And then looking for the container of M&Ms afterward.
Our church has a Valentine making party each year. Each year it is the day of Levi’s birthday party because of how the days fall. Last year we couldn’t make it, and I’m not sure he would have gotten much out of it. This year he had fun.
On his cheek you can see what happens when you belly flop on a sleeping beagle and hit them with your elbows. I think Levi learned his lesson and Bailey is now a little more wary. Bailey knew he wasn’t supposed to bite, and if he had been awake I don’t think he would have.Levi liked doing all the craft stuff to make the cards.
He also loved the giant Thomas the Train in the 2 year old room at our church’s main campus. They don’t have that at our campus, and he had never seen it.
Levi got a blow up ball to play with after the party. Here he is doing tricks. He likes to put it on his head while we drive.
Here’s the balloons Levi picked out.
And here he is with his new train table and Thomas the Train set. Erik, Caroline, Barbara and Wade are playing in there too.
Here’s Levi enjoying the bouncer Mrs. Fore from our church was nice enough to let us borrow. He had a lot of fun and so did all of his friends. Erik and Becca are in there with him.
Levi and Erik are climbing in, sometimes they needed some help.
Levi’s birthday cake was great, he likes cookies and daddy likes them more than regular cakes. He picked out the train idea.
Here he is checking out one of his presents. He got lots of good ones, but not as many good pictures.
Here he is playing on the scooter with Barbara. She’s one of our neighbors and he loves playing with them.
Here’s Levi getting ready to get some cake.
Wade and Matthew playing on Levi’s slide.
And all the big kids playing or watching the play on the Wii.
Levi with his Nana and Paw Paw.
Levi with his Mimi and Granddaddy. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a good shot with his Grandma and Grandpa
Here he is with Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Matt. He was being a little squirmy.
Levi had a great birthday party, and today is his actual birthday. If you ask him he can tell you he’s 2 years old. Its been a crazy two years, but all the craziness has been worth it. He’s an awesome little guy.
OK, I am determined to keep up with blogging. Here is a summary of all that has happened since the last update. Don’t forget to check out Robert’s blog too. He has been doing a much better job at keeping up with it. There might be just picture posts coming up but you should be able to figure it out.
December was busy with Christmas fun. Levi LOVED everything this year. He was very sad when the lights and tree were put away. He looked forward to coming home every day to turn the lights on. He got a big slide from Mimi and Grandaddy that is now currently taking up our dining room. The weather has been yucky so we put it inside so he can play on it more. He also got a few Bob the Builder things and a bike from us. Grandma and Grandpa got him an art easel but we haven’t been able to use it yet. Robert got the game room cleaned up over break and we are setting it up to use more so the easel might end up there. Just need to figure out what to put under it when painting it going on. Nana and PawPaw got him a cool new football chair which he loves to sit in and watch TV.
Robert and I were able to go out to an adult New Years party this year at our friends house and had a great time. Thanks Mimi and Grandaddy for watching Levi that night.
January was filled with busy times around the house. We went to Maggianos in Houston to celebrate my brother Matt’s birthday. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying good company. Levi got a bit restless we we all took turns walking around with him outside. Bob and Amy were there too so Levi got to meet them. Bob helped deliver the slide before Christmas so now every time Levi see Bob he asks about a slide. There was a wedding ending and the guests had bubbles. Levi was mesmerized and they ended up giving him some to play with too. January also started out very cold. It was below or at freezing for about 3 days. That’s a lot for us down here.
Levi started a Kindermusik class in January too. It meets on Tuesday mornings for 15 weeks. He was kind of crazy the 1st week and the 2nd week went better in my opinion. He loves music so much. We are really using the under counter radio that my Mom got me. We listen to music in the mornings during breakfast and it helps our day start out so much nicer. We have also been going to the park a lot with friends.
February is now here and it is time for Levi’s 2nd birthday! I can’t believe my little guy is already 2! Unfortunately you will see in the upcoming photos from his party that he has a big bruise on his cheek. This was caused when Levi did a belly flop on Bailey when Bailey was sleeping after having a very busy day. We keep telling Levi he is going to get hurt. Luckily it didn’t cut too bad and we are keeping an eye on it and keeping it cleaned.
Tomorrow we are going to a Valentine making party at our church and having Levi’s party. On Tuesday we will likely go to ChickFilA again to celebrate his actual birthday. The weather is looking like it will be nice this weekend so we will be spending as much time outside as possible before the rain starts back up next week.
Later this month Robert and I are going to see Switchfoot and Levi is staying at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
Levi is really starting to put sentences together and be able to have conversations with us. He likes many things and has been starting to recognize songs on KSBJ as we are driving. Hearing him sing along brings so much joy to my heart!
Pictures will be coming. I promise! 🙂 Thanks for sticking with us.
